William D. Ritenour and his wife, Ida, founded Ritenour Lumber in 1960. They started with a saw mill then added dry kilns in 1979, and a moulding shop in 1991. His son, Paul became president in 1993 after 20 years of service. Paul now concentrates on producing hardwood flooring, tongue-and-groove paneling, casing, baseboard, log siding, stair treads, mantles, custom mouldings, etc. He also provides dry kiln services and sells rough-cut lumber. He added a catalog (below) and showroom in 2003 and offers free sample pieces of his products.
