I have 30 year old parquet flooring and an oak staircase that was badly in need of a refresh. The detailed quote I received from Chris spelled out exactly what work was going be done, and what to expect when they were finished. I'm happy to say the work done exceeded my expectations, with extremely high quality work done by Marty. Marty used a newly purchased sander specifically for parquet floors that produced amazing results!

This did create more dust than anticipated, but again an amazing job was done cleaning the areas. The attention to detail on the staircase refinishing was really appreciated as well. There was a lot of intricate work around balusters to deal with, and the work was done beautifully. Everything was finished with satin polyurethane, and I honestly think it looks better now than when it was installed new. It was a pleasure working with Chris and Marty, and they treated the work on my home like it was their own house.

We were in a hurry to get our entire 2nd floor's hardwood floors refinished, and Chris was prompt, punctual, and professional when squeezing us in on short notice, prior to us moving into the house. We needed two substantial patches to the old floors where the wood had failed, and the floors were damaged enough to need around 1/8 of sanding to take off all the scratches and gouges. When it came to the floor refinishing work, Martin was awesome!

He had excellent attention to detail and really put in maximum effort to make sure the floors came out great. I was super impressed to come by the house one day and find Martin on all fours, sanding out tiny imperfections in the second polyurethane coat, trying to get the finish to come out perfect. We couldn't have asked for anything more. We would definitely hire again (although Martin was so thorough we have no more wood floors to refinish at the moment).

This is a fabulous company and Chris Potts is the most patient person I have ever met. We walked through the job, he made his recommendations, quoted me a price and then the Pandemic hit. Fast forward one year, I worked with Chris to reschedule the job, worked around the schedule not once but twice and he never expressed any frustration. I recommend him to anyone wanted a truly professional experience.

We recently had our kitchen floor refinished and a section of our living room repaired due to radiator water damage. Both came out fantastic and I can not say enough good things about the work and this company. Chris is very organized and professional as were both Joe and Tim who put 100% into our job. Thanks for the great job all around!

I recently had a phone consultation with Frank. He did an excellent job explaining the refinishing process to change the color of Brazilian Cherry floor. Frank offered to consult with another floor finishing company where I live in the Metropolitan Detroit area. I would highly recommend Frank and Duffy Floors.

Chris, with Duffy Floors, guided us through the entire process of removing the red and darkening our Brazilian Cherry floors. We're unbelievably thrilled with the results. We live in Virginia and, thus, could not contract with Duffy Floors. However, Chris consulted with us and explained his entire system. from tools, to products to sanding methods, etc. Chris coached my contractor throughout the project, periodically reviewing our work as we went.

It was invaluable. Dying and staining floors can be daunting because there's really no opportunity to make a mistake; Chris provided the methods and the confidence to help make our project successful. The result is a very rich and deep veined look to our Brazilian Cherry floor. When the light hits the deep brown veins, it shines unbelievably. We're very impressed with Chris' generosity and expertise. Consulting on floor refinishing methods is a unique service and we're very fortunate that Chris took the time to share his experiences.

Wonderful experience and such a pleasure having Duffy Floors sand and refinish our 114 year old home floors. Very responsive and knowledagble. These are the experts and we had full confidence in them to take care of the job. Met with Chris, who walked us through his observations (floor boards, types of wood, recommendations) and his process. It was helpful to have someone who we could feel comfortable and could trust to get the job done. They started and finished on time and as planned. We have another floor that will need refinishing eventually and we will be calling Chris back at Duffy Floors to handle the job.
