Steves Carpet Service

Steve came and took our measurements. Told us we would have an estimate end of week. We were ready to schedule install for asap, and at the end of the week, I had no estimate. I followed up, they said they were working on it. A week later I emailed asking for estimate and got no response. My husband called, and Steve answered and was very weird about it saying he hasn't gotten to the estimate yet but will try to work on it.very strange. Then, 20 min after, we get an email saying that they can't estimate our job at this time.

They wasted our time when we could have scheduled another company to come out and do the job. Now we are back to square one here. I come from a family of business owners, and I can tell you this is not how you handle business.very unprofessional.

We shopped around locally for carpeting and found Steve's to be the most helpful and friendly of all the places we visited. They took the time necessary for us to make a great decision on our flooring. The installers we prompt and very friendly, even helped me do a small finishing work in another part of the house. This place is highly recommended by my wife and I. I will go back for any future flooring needs, Thank You for the service.

Been using Steve's carpet for 20+ years. The best. Very professional and reliable. Price is reasonable and service is fantastic. Can't beat this guy. Thxs Steve for another great job.

Read some reviews that weren't great. Big complaint was no follow up. I have Steve benefit of doubt in case extenuating circumstances. We had a bare floor ready for flooring. Went to their store, picked out a carpet and hard floor option. He came out and measured soon thereafter. And that was the last we heard. No call with estimates or any additional questions. We went elsewhere and quickly had carpeting. I'm not chasing someone to give them my business.

Wow! Called to set up estimate for new carpet & it was scheduled for the next day. Steve went over all my options with me and explained everything clearly. Install was prompt & professional. Steve followed up with a call the day after install. Highly recommend this company! A+++ Its nice to have a smooth experience & be able to count on a company!

I have never experienced kinder, better customer service with any company I have ever dealt with! Great quality carpet, installed on my schedule. The installers were amazing, even vacuumed the new carpet. My family has only gotten our carpets from Steve's and will continue to do so. Shop local, shop family owned/run stores. It's well worth it and their prices are unbeatable. Strongly recommend! -Vicki T

The shop was recommended to me and on line reviews were good. Must say, highly overrated customer service. People are pleasant enough but their priorities don't include residential. In short, I requested an estimate for my apartment. Steve came and did the measurements and promised a quick estimate. A week later, nothing. So I called only to receive a message telling me that they just had a large commercial order/project and since they will concentrate on fulfilling it, they would not have time to provide their service to me or to even provide an estimate.

I called back trying to explain that I can wIt 2 months but Steve did not even return my call. I would give them an F for their customer service. Not sure how well they do their work but with multitude of quality installers around, I would avoid them like wildfire.

Purchased a really nice congoleum flooring just under 2 yrs ago, very happy with finished job! So about 1 year later, I stopped by to have an estimate done elsewhere in my house, he came very next morning. While there I pointed out how the glue or silicone was separating, his response was just have your husband caulk it. Wow. Really? Needless to say, no NEW business for that answer Mr Steve Owner of the Carpet place!

So 2 wks ago I called to say the flooring is raising up, the woman asked when was it installed she'd have to pull my file according to the year of install & she'd have someone call me. I replied 2013 gave her my name & number. I called back 1 week later to followup, she replied when they have an open slot they will call to schedule you in, wow! Of course everyone trying to get the homes ready for the holiday but really not even a courtesy call?

One would expect NORMAL wear in tear within time, this wasn't a small dollar purchase by any means. BUT within the first 2 years! To NOT have Customer Service is like having an answering machine or full voice mailbox and unable to take a message. The website says the Best In The Poconos. Call Me I'll Sell You The Brooklyn Bridge at a discount! **************************************************** 12/10/15 Update Perhaps I jumped the gun and was being inpatient; afterall it is a local business not a big wig that has the ability to jump.

Communication still has room for improvement but the work is done. Thank you. PS It took several weeks, but the carpet is tacked down in place and all is good. Be patient is all.

These guys are friendly and easy to work with. They have a huge building off 209, which is rare in this area. There place is also spotless! Also, have you ever tried to order custom tile from Home Depot or Lowe's. Good luck; plan a day and pack a lunch before you find anyone to help you!
