San Jose Hardwood Floors is the best. As part of a pretty major kitchen remodel, we wanted to get hardwood throughout, but really didn't know much about it. Butch spent a lot of time with us and helped us make all the right choices. In the end we chose a dark-stained hickory because we wanted a really durable surface (dogs!). The floor was beautiful the day it was installed 13 years ago and has been amazing ever since. We really appreciate all the time and personalized service that went into the experience of working with Butch & the team. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I have used San Jose Hardwood Flooring twice for both of my projects and completely happy with the service as well as the price and quality. Butch Kirk, the owner is such a great help when he gives us advices on material, color, installation, and schedule. He gave us the best price on the market, explained clear the term and payment. Honest. No hidden fee working with him.

Butch was eager to confirm our first appointment and was on time. He provided a quote which I accepted. They began the tear out work but a few days before the project completion he said the wood was not available any longer. We were under a short timeline due to other construction going on. He was rude and not very helpful in coming up with a solution.

He threatened to just call it quits without a back up resource. I told him this was unacceptable and we could find a solution. He finally found an alternative product. The Workman came to do the stain. I found stain on my linens and towels in my linen closet. This guy was going through my personal property. Looking for jewelry, valuables. I would never recommend or trust this company beware.

Butch was hands down the most knowledgeable, honest, and friendly person I spoke with for my hardwood floors. He made such a positive impact on the entire process, I couldn't recommend them enough. Ivan was incredibly talented with the installation.

Butch, Bianca and other guys at San Jose Hardwood Floors, Carpet & Vinyl are really helpful guys! I had an installer scheduled for my installation. But one week before the scheduled installation, they told me they could not do my job. As I had scheduled move-in according to the floor installation schedule, I was stranded. After talking to Butch, he came on site and did the measurement and quoted me a great price.

Then he promised me he would have as many workers as helpful on-site to finish my work in time as originally scheduled. Things did happen as scheduled, but two days into the work, some problem with my floor was identified and it is not proper to continue installation of wood floors in some rooms of my house until late summer. Butch talked to me, gave me an offer of installing temporary carpet in those rooms at whatever his cost is.

Believe me, I quoted at other carpet vendors and Butch's offer was way way lower than others. On a rainy Friday, Bianca and his son waited after her hours for me to pick the color in their office. His son, a lovely boy, was so sleepy. But because of me, he could only sleep with all the noises in their office. (Sorry again, Bianca!) After I pick the color, Bianca went ahead and ordered the carpet from the vendor.

She found out that the carpet could only be delivered next Thursday and my move was scheduled on the Sunday following that. Butch promised he would have his workers stand by Thursday evening and Friday morning. Once the carpet is delivered, they will come to my house and make sure I can move in on Sunday. Well, everything else did work as scheduled.

But I understand that Butch and his company mobilized a great deal of resources to stand by more my work, one after another. Thanks you all at San Jose Hardwood Floors, Carpet and Vinyl!

SJ Hardwood just did an amazing job refinishing hardwood floors for a client of mine. These floors were not in great shape, and they look better than new now! Starting from the Beginning, through out and all the way to the end great customer service. Before hiring this company, I spoke and interview 5 companies, but Butch and his company stood out. Walked me through the whole process on what is going to take place. My only concern was trying to match my downstairs floors with the upstairs since we were going to have our upstairs done .

They removed the carpets and cleaned and prepped everything. To make the long story short, I was amazed on the work performed by his team. Could not even noticed the difference between the upstairs and downstairs floor. He did a great job matching it. Also liked how he did follow ups throughout the project.

Our experience with San Jose Hardwood Floors was definitely 5 star. From our first contact with Jason in the showroom to the final trim install, we were totally pleased with both the product and the installation workmanship. We had bamboo flooring installed on our first floor. Every project has its problems, but ours were minor and dealt with professionally and rapidly. Jason was very proactive and in constant contact. The technicians doing the install were professional, courteous and accommodating. Bottom line, we love our new floor!

I came here knowing little to nothing about engineered wood and Jayson provided me with exceptional customer service, educating me about all the options of my current flooring, how to treat/repair the flooring, and advice on potential new flooring. I love luxury vinyl tiles ( LVT) so much, because it is really durable and meanwhile has a variety of nice looking, like wood grain, marble grain or carpet grain etc. Some person even could hardly to tell whether the flooring is hardwood floor or luxury vinyl tiles because they look really similar.

The guys at San Jose Hardwood Floors are great to work with. They are very knowledgeable about a wide variety of flooring products. I love that Butch was able to create exactly the color I had in mind using a combination of dyes and stains. I didn't even know there was such a thing as a wood dye for flooring until he showed me how the two can work together to create custom colors - especially deep tones. Very happy and definitely recommend them.

Butch Kirk is the owner and he personally came out to do Mom's estimate and answer all our questions. To be honest, had I known how much information I would easily glean from Butch, I wouldn't have wasted so much time trying to make sense of it all on my own through hours on the internet. He's had over 20 years of experience in the business.
