Caesar and Jose did a great job. They were very accommodating and did a great job of cleaning up when they were finished. We highly recommend them.

We were able to order the floors over the phone with no issues. We were told immediate scheduling when the floors arrived was not going to be a problem. We got the floor area measured and we're told we would hear back about scheduling. No updates from S&G so we had to call and were told a piece was missing and we could not schedule installation without the piece.

The piece was arriving outside of the window we were allowed with our kitchen remodel timeline. We asked S&G to work with us, we asked if we could expedite shipping, we were told no, we asked if we could install the floors without the piece, we were told no. Absolutely no effort was made on S&G's end to help find a solution. We were told to wait for the piece and they would call when it arrived.

The estimated arrival of the piece was on a Thursday but hopeful I called S&G on Wednesday. The piece was here, no thanks to the S&G team for letting us know. So floors were then scheduled for the next day; however, when they installed the floors the wrong piece was ordered and they installed the floors without it going directly against their policy of "we will not install without every piece." We were then left with blue tape in place of the required piece until it arrived.

We were again told we would be notified when it arrived. We received no correspondence until I called on my own and was told the piece was here and we could schedule. Overall a frustrating and unprofessional experience the whole time.

Got flooring done. Overall great service and high quality work. Would definitely recommend them to anyone.

We went to S&G carpet a 2 weeks ago to look at flooring and the following week it was installed. It looks amazing. We chose a warm brown flooring and I love it in my home. Workers were courtious and polite and listened to our concerns. Good guys.

The very best experience. No hard sales here. Honest and nice salesperson came to our house and answered dozens of questions. I went into their location in Rancho Cordova to look at more samples and every single person was polite, helpful and so genuine. I ordered the carpet, but put off the install for a few months and it was so easy when the time came to get on the calendar. Calling is a breeze and someone nice will answer. Every single time! My install was perfect, another great employee. I wish all companies were this way, truly a joy to work with. Would definitely recommend!

My family and I were shopping for hardwood floors for our house. We went to several places and S&G Carpet had the best selection as well as the best prices. Natalie was very knowledgeable and helpful with assisting us with the flooring. We highly recommend this store, because of the great customer service!

9 months ago I had S&G install carpet in a bedroom in my house. Price seemed reasonable enough at 750 installed, and installation was good. I called a few weeks ago to do another bedroom that was slightly larger than the last. They quoted me double the price at 1,500! They told me the reason was something like supply chain issues, pandemic, inflation etc.

I told them this was too much so the lady talked to the manager and said they can do it $300 cheaper for 1,200 since I was a return customer. So i called another company and got the same exact carpet installed for 750. So tell me S&G how a smaller company was able to get the same carpet for the price I paid 9 months ago and you couldn't? Some straight up shady business practices going on there. Won't be going to them anymore.

Outstanding employees, immaculate work on putting our floor!

I called S&G and others for a quote and Patti at S&G gave us the best price and product. We had Vancouver XL Series Kelvin Oak installed in the kitchen, living room, hall way and bath. The Vancouver XL Series is almost a quarter of an inch thick and has a 20 mil wear layer. They removed underlayment in the kitchen, part of the living room and the bathroom because of the different levels because of the vinyl that was on top of existing underlayment.

They could have just left it and installed underlayment in the living room an hall way but that would have been one sixteenth higher if they would have filled in the living room and hallway with three eights ply wood so they installed underlayment throughout the same rooms mentioned and installed the vinyl flooring. Heimes and Geraldo did a great job installing the flooring.

It was like they were installing it in there own home. All the people worked on and help us were great Pat, Craig, Janessa, Camilo, Heimes, Geraldo and all the rest of the people in the corporate in Sacramento. You will not go wrong with S&G for your flooring needs! We are very Happy with the outcome of this project! Thank You S&G Marty & Fatima

Great working experience! I worked with Lisa Boyd and Gina Sovan. Lisa gave us an in-depth understanding of the different samples and was very patient. Gina was fabulous, being extremely prompt and very easy to work with. We didn't use the installers, only purchased material.

This place has gone downhill in the last 1-2 years. I have a commercial account and ever since the last commercial rep left the service has been horrible. I have called several times over the last 3 months to get follow-up work done after carpet needed to be stretched. Customer service says they sent an email to ALL of the managers to try and get a response and still, no response. Be careful, you may have decent service when they want to get your business but after the fact you are stuck if you need follow-up.

We had hardwood floors installed in our Grand Dining Room and Home Office. The did a great job on the installation. The install team led by Mr. Pena we fast, neat, courteous, and communicated well throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend S & G Carpet.

Actual scheduling and installation was great. It's quality with speedy installation. The onsite estimate and material arrival date can use some improvement. The ETA was off by a couple of weeks, and the follow though was a bit haphazard. Luckily, the realtor who knew the place well helped me bridge the communication gap.

Installer did a horrible job. First, they totally ignored the memo left on the invoice that I wanted a "staggered look". After I came to check on them they laid all the flooring in the staircase pattern and tried lying to me saying that's the normal look that they do and that there was no memo until he had a double check and realized I was right.

They redid it but I doubt they threw out the broken ones. I have glue coming out from between the planks (wonder why they used the glue) when they are supposed to be a floating flooring. So many other things I'm not going to write them all out. Only good experience I had was with the sales lady we worked with.

S and G continues to be an outstanding example of a tried and true business. They've been around since the 1970s and they still provide great materials and service. The showroom had more samples than I could ever conceive of. They were helpful, answered questions, and didn't hover when I wanted time to think. Smooth process purchasing, scheduling was efficient and project completed in a timely manner.

Big deal in a modern world! The installers, Oliver and Jeremy, arrived on time and moved furniture carefully. We talked through a couple of unique issues which they had solutions for. The final product is beautiful and well done. Thank you S and G!

Staff were super friendly and helped us very quickly. The installers were able to install everything really quickly. As for the carpet, not sure if it was necessarily as nice or plush as I paid for since I did purchase a more expensive option. It just felt kind of flat after installation even with premium padding. The carpet is fine, but for the price point could've felt nicer

Update from Fall 2019 Review -When I was ready to choose new carpet for my living room in 2019, I chose S&G originally because others had recommended them. My first impression was that the S&G store on Hillsdale is clean, large and carries a wide selection of beautiful flooring! Their sales associates are professional, friendly and helpful. I unfortunately selected a carpet that had some issues and felt frustrated at the time with the process of filing a claim.

I removed my original review because S&G did eventually approve my claim and offered to have it replaced. While it took longer than expected due to COVID, I really appreciated their effort to reach out and stand behind their customer satisfaction. Mike especially went above and beyond to reach out to me, help me choose a new carpet, ensure I was kept in the loop and finally, ensure I was happy with my replacement. My new carpet looks beautiful and I honestly wouldn't hesitate to recommend S&G for their flooring selection, competitive prices & customer service.

We got referred to this company by Costco. The sales person was not transparent about the availability and installation date. We placed the order in October and just got it installed. The installation date got pushed out multiple times. The installers also dinged a few areas on the stairs. Overall a bad experience.

Great price. Great service. I'd been looking for a particular type of flooring (Pergo) and had been quoted at another establishment a high price. The price I was quoted at S&G put it in my price range. Follow on to that, the customer service was perfect in helping me make sure I get the details right. When I came to pick up my material the folks quickly took care of me and helped me load it all. I'll go back and will (have already) recommend S&G to others.

Had S&G carpet our living room and hallway 3 years ago. These areas turned out so amazing had the company back to carpet our 3 bedrooms and the closets. Once again the rooms turned out beautiful. S&G has wonderful representatives from the Customer Service to the gentleman that came out to take the measurements to the installation team. Thanks S&G for making our home so gorgeous!

When my wife and I walked into their show room, we told the sales associate, Anthony Dinh, what we were looking for in a water-proof, engineered wood floor. He showed us options that fit our budget and allowed us to take home samples. Anthony was friendly and did not pressure us in any way. He even let us keep the samples past the return deadline.

The estimator, Lisa, arrived on time and was also amicable and knowledgeable. The written estimate was cryptic to us, but Anthony patiently explained what every line item meant. The installers, Anri and Alec, arrived on time and were very professional. They explained what they would do and asked my wife questions for clarification when they encountered unexpected issues.

During installation, the customer service manager, Craig Cabral, came by to see how things were going and to make sure we were satisfied. Another customer service manager, Mike Menacho, came by after the installation to make sure things were satisfactory. A few items were included at no extra charge: -Because the new floor was higher than the old, the rubber flap of our trash compactor now scraped the floor.

The installer cut the bottom of the flap for us. -S&G installed a bullnose step leading to the garage. -After installation, Arni, came back an extra day to clean the floor, even though this was not included in the contract. They also left behind a Bona Hard-Surface Floor Cleaner kit. Our new floor looks terrific.

So HAPPY with our stunning new, plush carpet for our walk-in closet. S&G was amazing to work with from start to finish! We will definitely be using them for all our flooring needs in the future. Thank you, S&G, you guys ROCK! 8-

I bought carpet from them several months ago and really, I'm still trying to decide how I feel about the place. From a sales perspective, it was fine. They were helpful without being pushy. It took me awhile to make a decision. I got a call from my sales person one day just to let me know there was a sale going on, so that helped me kick it in gear. Timing was perfect and she helped me save a few bucks, so yay. Scheduling installation was easy.

Now let's talk about the installation. Installation is where things got iffy for me. I've had lots of people work on various things in my house over the years. No big deal. These guys I really was just relieved when they left. I was feeling uncomfortable all day while they were in the house. Maybe it was because they seemed really unfriendly (not rude or mean, just not at all friendly).

I don't think either of the guys smiled once. One guy camped out in my bathroom a lot of the day. That seemed odd. I mean I get that people need to use the bathroom. but this guy I think wasn't feeling well. In which case why was he in my house? Let's just say I had to glove up and do major disinfecting after they left. I've seen toddlers with better aim.

As for quality of installation, they seemed lazy in their work. The carpet was cut fine, the pad they barely made effort. They even ripped a hole in the pad in one spot. I questioned if that part should be replaced and the guy looked at me like I was nuts. He said it didn't matter. I'm not sure how that's possible since it's a pet barrier pad. so with rips and holes the barrier is broken. Finally, they were done.

They asked me if I wanted to keep a couple of small scrap pieces that were leftover. Of course. I was actually surprised by how little was left. My mom used to own a carpet business, so I know there's usually a decent amount of overage required. Then I watched video later from my driveway. There was a big piece left. They took it. So basically, carpet that I paid for, they stole. Wow.

That actually made me a bit upset. Carpet looks good. After 20 years of not replacing the old carpet, anything would be an improvement. It's a cheaper quality than I had before, and that is showing as we go. All in all, it was ok. Would I buy from them again? Probably not.

I love S & G in Rancho Cordova. This is my third purchase with them and I recommend them to everyone. I wish I could divide up my stars between the sales crew, the management and the installers. 1st the installers are absolutely the best. This last young man worked late into the evening because I was on a time limit plus he had to work around the painter. 2nd the management passed me around a bit but I did feel like they were trying to get the right person.

My problem withthe billing was handled perfectly. 3rd unfortunately over the years I feel the sales crew has gone downhill. This time I felt they just wanted to make a sale or another just couldn't be bothered. I needed to plow thru that and it was great. They have a fantastic selection. The measurers have been great too I will always recommend S & G
