I wanted to write and thank you once again for your professionalism and responsiveness in completing the refinishing of our hardwood floors last week. It is nice to see that there are still some companies that will stand behind their work and make every effort to satisfy their customers. As I mentioned to you in my message left on your voice mail, we were very pleased with the refinishing job.

After getting a number of estimates from a few different companies, Pope came recommended to us and after our initial consultation and estimate, we could already see why. They were friendly, seemingly knowledgeable, and very responsive. We were quite pleased with our decision until the actual work began (replacing our ugly, old carpet with hardwoods).

The work started out relatively well but things started to go south (e.g., the wood was not cut correctly so large holes remained along the edges of the room even after molding was put down, lots of dust/dirt was left on the floor before they finished the wood leaving a lot of dust bumps, etc), they quickly became unresponsive to calls and emails and Greg, the person in charge of our job, became very frustrated and rude.

Although he did, in the end, apologize, the work and his behavior were extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Each member of the team agreed that the work was shoddy, but blamed someone else with only us (the customer) being left to sort it out ourselves. In the end, no one took responsibility for what turned out to be a relatively poor job at the end. We would STRONGLY advise anyone interested in a hardwood flooring company to look elsewhere.
