#BUYERBEWARE #BADBusiness WARNING I rarely give a ONE star but if there was an option to give a ZERO star I would! As a Consumer that loves to support local and/or small businesses I wish I had patronized a Big Box Store for this small project and accepted a quote that would have been twice as much, but at least I would have been able to open and close the Front door and have closet doors that were actually able to open and close after the flooring job was complete!

They do not agree that after a flooring job has been complete that a customer should Assume that their doors, including the FRONT door will open and close! This is one of those situations where one person (let's call him Terry) knows that his employee (Humm let's call him Jeff) did not write a Bid correctly and then outsourced the Labor to a company that is not equipped to do the job! Don't let the "SALE" price persuade you because they do not include or expect for a job to be complete. Terry actually said "well it doesn't say the doors will open" WTF! Terry originally verbally agreed that Jeff should have known that the new carpet would need a different installer! I didn't hire the outscourced company! I hired this sorry excuse of a flooring company! #SMALLCLAIMSCOURT #HORRIBLE

Customer service was outstanding. They were able to ask the right questions to asses my flooring needs and provided a very good selection to choose from. The team was friendly, professional, and very helpful. They went out of their way to meet my installation needs. Installer was Professional, efficient, and did an awesome job. I am very happy with the quality of product and service.

Prompt response time. Decent prices. Friendly knowledgeable staff. I haven't scheduled my service yet, but I will soon.

We needed to replace our carpet in the main part of our home so I looked for a smaller flooring company in hopes of having a great product and someone that cared about their work. I first talked with Michel on the phone and he showed concern about my needs so we made the trip into the store the next day. We were greeted at the door by a young lady named Emily and she was ready and willing to help with our request.

We were looking for good quality carpet that was pet friendly and padding to match. Her boss Terry assisted and explained all of the cost effective ways we could use. I had already removed the old carpet and made the area ready for an install. Terry offered to come to our home that very evening and measure the space we needed to cover. While he was there he explained our options for the carpet layout and how to install the carpet properly on our stairs. Terry provided us with a proper proposal the very next day and we had already picked out our carpet with Emily's help while at the store.

Their price was fair and we set up a date for the install. Terry explained who would be coming to our home to install in great detail and he was dead on with what to expect. Both men were courteous and it was a pleasure working with them as well as our purchase at the store. We hope to have them return to our home to install ceramic tile in our master bath.

We are so pleased with the company and his staff that we plan on recommending their company to others. THANK YOU to everyone that helped us with our project and both of our senior dogs LOVE resting on the new carpet right next to our chairs. THANKS Frankly Speaking

Terry McDowell responded to our inquiry very quickly. He came to our house to measure and evaluate what we wanted. He talked through our choices with us and treated us very well. His bid was competitive with the market and we were very pleased.

I just bought a 6 thousand square foot house and stopped by to select tiles as I would prefer a local business to the chains. I called ahead and when I arrived they asked to assist me and the gentleman came over not wearing a mask in gross violation of the county mandate. I'm also a doctor who takes care of covid patients and every single day and has signed more death certificates in the past year than I can count.

He flat out refused to wear a mask, said he was the required 6 feet away.which only applies to outside. I told him I'm a doctor and yes, please wear a mask. I explained that 6 feet only applies outside. Bought a huge house in Lake Forest. Your staff are horrible people. I'm sure I'll see you in the ICU. If you treat new customers like total crap, you won't have a business for long.

Wonderful, honest. They do the right thing. I purchased carpet for a basement that did not hold up as I expected. The carpet manufacturer refused to cover repair/ replacement. Terry at the Carpet Galaxy made it right. I could not be happier! Thank you Terry!

Michael helped me and came out to my home assuring me that they could do an install where home Depot said no. From my first interaction with Michael it was fantastic. The installation crew did a great job putting down luxury vinyl everywhere except for two bedrooms where they sanded and stained existing hardwood. Great work and great price.

We needed to replace the carpets in our entire house. a daunting task and potentially hideously expensive. we have had two boys and three rescue dogs grow up in the house. our last rescue dog is finally potty trained and doesn't really have accidents, mark etc. so we chose flooring galaxy to do our carpet because of the google reviews. we worked with michael who was without a doubt one of the most responsive sales persons i have dealt with. emails answered sometimes in minutes. bids given in a timely manner. the carpet selection is vast so you better have some idea of what you want. otherwise be prepared to be overwhelmed. our house is large and has very cumbersome furniture(an armoire that is over 10 feet long and weighs hundreds of pounds.) paul and his crew of installers were amazing! they moved the furniture, moved everything back and were very incredibly professional. i don't know if there is a harder job than carpet installation, but they showed up every day with smiles. this was without a question one of the best experiences we have had with home maintenance.

My husband and I used this company in May to get our hardwood floors sanded and restained in our new first home. We went from an orangey, shiny gunstock color hardwood floor to a beautiful dark walnut. We also had them install some LVP in our laundry room which is awesome! The guy who was at our house working, Ryan, was excellent and thorough too. Very happy with the finished product!

Tom and his crew pulled out all the old filthy carpeting from our basement and replaced it with padding and a beautiful new carpet they did an awesome job hard-working efficient and very timely and the Galaxy flooring was great. Highly recommend Galaxy flooring and ask for Tom to install it! One happy customer!

The crew finished the installation of laminate in our LR, DR, and hall today. We couldn’t be happier. The entire process from purchase with our salesman Randy to the installation with Paul and his crew. Was painless. Everyone involved was knowledgeable about the product and very professional.

I went to Flooring Galaxy knowing a lot about what I wanted, and I was able to find a great material for a fair price. The labor cost was fair, and the guys who did the work did an excellent job. My job site has floor to ceiling mirrors on two walls, and the guys had to be very careful around them. Glad to report there were no incidents. They pulled out the old carpet, and fitted the new vinyl plank expertly, installed the transitions and cut in the floor registers. Already eyeing the rest of my rooms to see what I can hire them to do next.

I was just looking for some small samples to match up with some carpet in my daughters house that my dog tore up while we were visiting! (I was able to match it up and my daughter didn't even notice until I pointed it out! )The gentleman that greeted and listened to my dilemma was more than happy to see what they had that might help my situation. I couldn't have been more pleased! Very friendly and helpful! If I ever need carpet or flooring.will keep them in mind for sure!

Michael from Flooring Galaxy has been professional, courteous, and prompt. We are replacing very old, worn carpet in our bedroom and walk-in closet. Michael came out with samples of in-stock carpet and was able to give us an estimate in just a few minutes. Because we are installing in-stock carpet, we are able to have this project complete in just a few days, and for a very reasonable price! We couldn't be happier!

Would rate a negative if I could Gave these folks my business due to their glowing online reviews but I will NEVER EVER EVER use them or recommend them EVER. The subcontractors they hire to do jobs offer sub par work, whine and get an attitude when you express concern with the final product, and do not offer refund or redo on work that was done to a sub standard level. Mike was literally one of the worst representatives of any company I've ever encountered.

He wreaked of cigarettes anytime I saw him, spoke down to my partner and I like we had no idea what we were talking about (we do) and has about as much customer service skills as my toenail. This company is not worth your time or money. Over priced, under qualified and a disgrace to the industry. Shame shame shame.

Went to Flooring Galaxy looking for carpet for one room. Had several needs that this carpet needed to accommodate. Having never been to the store, our first impression upon walking in was WOW. Unbelievable selection, and not only in carpet but in many flooring options. Spoke to Terry, laying out exactly what I was looking for. He listened, asking a few questions for clarity, then pointed me to several options, finally landing on one that suited our needs perfectly.

After taking home a selection of samples to determine what color we wanted, I had several questions about how to install the product myself, for which Terry took plenty of time to explain and make sure I understood what I needed to do. Couldn't be happier with the service or the product. Have already recommended them to a friend, and certainly will again when anyone is looking for flooring.

We bought a home last year that had about 1700 sq feet of ancient carpeting, mostly from the 60s and 70s. We shopped around at various places for price and selection and ended up here. Ultimately, we bought enough Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) flooring from Cortec to cover about 1,300 sq feet that we installed ourselves and we had the store install carpet in the remaining space.

Our close friend is a floor contractor (although he can't actually lay carpet any longer due tot he impact on his knees) and he was impressed with the work the store's installer's did. Lord knows, this is superior to what you'll deal with at the big box stores where you have no idea who is going to do your installation. All in all, the store was easy to work with and got us what we needed when we needed it.

Wonderful people and so very helpful in every respect. They were able to install my floor with very little lead time in order to do it before moving in. Everyone was great to work with and I love my floor! Kathleen

Was just about to buy from a nearby Big Box store then I walked into Flooring Galaxy. Terry was incredible helpful and knowledgable. I got more info and help in a few minutes than I got at the other place in three trips. He came over the measure and gave more more great suggestions. I'm buying both carpet and kitchen flooring. Went to Flooring Galaxy looking for some carpet tiles for a basement rec room I just finished. Nice selection and found the right color and style for a better price than the big box chains. They had enough tiles in stock to cover a 500 square foot room which was even better. Terry was friendly and helpful, you should check them out. It looked like they had a good price and selection of regular carpeting as well.

I did not realize that the flooring galaxy sold more than carpet, but when I went in I seen a great selection of tile, carpet squares and luxury vinyl flooring what a nice surprise with excellent customer service.

This is based on one visit to Big Bob's, but they have AMAZING customer service. I went in to buy some do-it-myself carpet tiles for a new walk-in closet and Brittany quickly showed me a better (and cheaper) alternative. They have plenty of carpet remnants to choose from if you're looking at a small area to carpet and they bind the edges for around $2/foot. Luckily, they had almost the exact size I was looking for so I was able to get exactly what I needed for about $60. I have no idea how this compares to other carpet places, but it sounded reasonable to me and they were just so helpful!

We just shifted to our new home and needed a couple of rugs for our rooms. Flooring Galaxy provided what I needed as a shopper online. Their program allowed me to pick a rug and display in their digital room, giving me an idea how it will look. It helped me save time and money to get the perfect flooring for our house. I can't say enough. This company went above and beyond to help me in during an install emergency. The big wow about this, is that I did not purchase any material from them for this project and yet they went above and beyond near closing time on a Friday. That tells me that this company is 100% integrity. I can only imagine how far their customer service would go for their invested clients. I will forever brag upon you all Flooring Galaxy.
