  • I would recommend this business

We recently purchased a house that have hardwood flooring that needs some refinishing. After asking around for a recommendation we came across Uri and his wood flooring company via our neighbor whom they installed hardwood floors for. We further did some more research and decided to give them a try. Our first impression was that customer service is very pleasant and professional. We got a schedule the following day. And the girl in the office tried to answer all our preliminary questions and seems to genuinely care about our needs.
Uri called to tell us that he will be arriving in about 15 to 20 minutes (they have an hour window waiting time). First impression was his cordial and professionall. He was very thorough in explaining to us the process to refinish the floor and what are other options that we might want to consider like staining the floor. Uri truly went out of his way trying to find the matching wood for the replacement. Which we appreciate a lot.
In the same day we received their written quote to sand stain and refinish the entire house (first and second floor plus stairs) replace and repair the damaged hardwood planks, move furniture and move it back and install hardwood floor in the closets. Pricing was competitive to other quotes we got and so we decided to hire them.
Over all experience was highly impressive. The furniture was moved with much care and was wrapped with plastic really well. The newly refinished flooring looks great and we love the stain they put in it. Everything was done with much attention to detail and professionalism. And the crew were very respectful and kept the house orderly and clean while they were working. They were a pleasure to work with.

We had pre-finished engineered in our home installed by Custom Hardwood Flooring of Agoura Hills and got amazing results. We also had them sand stained and refinish the existing wood flooring in our stairs, and second floor hallway and they did a wonderful job. Very pleasant people to do business with.

When faced with the dilemma of figuring out the best way to go about your hardwood flooring project, it is best to know what are things called and what they mean in the world of wood flooring. This way you understand better what the professionals are talking about. This article aims to put some technical words used by hardwood floor contractors or technicians in lay mans term. 1. Sub floors or sub flooring is the floor that the hardwood flooring will be installed on. It can be wood, cement, or beams.

Hardwood floors are protected by clear coating that eventually over time becomes scratched, scuffed and dull. But when do we decide if our Hardwood floors are only meant for recoating, refinishing or total repair? You can do a "drop test" using water on your hardwood floor to help you decide if your floors are meant for recoating, refinishing or total repair. If a drop of water soaks in slowly to your floors then you may get by just cleaning and polishing your hardwood floor. If a drop of water soaks in immediately, then your floor wood fibers may already be exposed which means you are in need of hardwood floor refinishing.
