Century Carpet is owned by husband and wife team, Jean & Christine Coutu. They have been in the flooring industry for over 30 years. Jean began learning the business and started installing flooring - before he even graduated high school. Then, with the help of his wife, Christine, he worked for many years as a flooring installer for local area stores.
Your home is a reflection of you. We are here to carry that reflection throughout your home and help you find the right floor for you and your lifestyle. We are a proud member of The Flooring Network. As a member, we are among a group of independently owned floor covering retailers throughout the North East.
I had looked at some other carpet stores but found the selections overwhelming and the staff uninterested in helping me select among them. At Century, I described my requirements and the salesperson helped me narrow down the choices very quickly. She was knowledgeable about the options and seemed concerned that I be happy with the choice.
We offer free measuring and free quotes. The first step is to visit our showroom. We can walk you through your flooring options, and while you are here, we can schedule a time for us to measure your room(s) free of charge and provide you with a quote. We offer in-store design consultations, no appointment is necessary.

From the moment we walked into the store until the installation of the tiles and carpeting, we could not have asked for nicer and more professional people. Okay, now that all the photos have come through: Century Carpet was super-professional, and extremely patient as our two young girls picked their own carpets, and also explained what each version was and why it cost more/less. They came and took out the old padding and carpet, and put down new ones after sweeping out all that dust and dirt from the nineties! We're definitely planning to use them again when we get our own rug done!

These are the nicest folks! We had a pipe burst recently and Katie was able to match my existing floor. Gene came out to measure, what a gem! Prices are great, folks are very knowledgeable, 5 stars isn't enough to represent all the great service (Katie) and the weight they lift off your back by knowing their products so well.(Gene!) We went to Century Carpet to purchase and install carpet in our home. Beginning with Katie (Sales) we felt very comfortable and confident that she had a good handle on what we wanted, and was mindful of our parameters. She listened carefully to make sure that she knew exactly what we wanted, and she set about to find it without pouncing on every chance for an up-sell.
She is fantastic, and we can't say enough about her. From Gene (the owner) who came out to measure the space, to the installers, everyone was polite, engaging, and professional. We will most definitely use Century Carpet for our next project. These folks are the best!

We reconnected with Century to help us with a manufacturer's product warranty issue. Century was able to help us get our claim processed promptly and smoothly and assisted us with updated flooring choices installation and styles. Gene and Andrea were outstanding to work with throughout the process - and were respectful and went way out of their way to help us.
Due to issues surrounding COVID-19 precautions, they were extremely understanding and flexible to accommodate our schedule. Brian, who did the actual installation, was knowledgeable, skillful and helpful by laying out several floor designs so we could chose the very best one for our space. The work was outstanding and looks GREAT!
