Can't recommend this team highly enough. We had a small job, just replacing carpet with tile in a bedroom. Julian was so wonderful communicating throughout. He was quick to respond, gave a thorough quote, and was able to get the job started in just a couple days. Everything was complete in under a day and a half and he and Celso were so accommodating with a last minute change.

It was always clear where there might be a risk of additional cost and everything felt extremely transparent in terms of expectations from start to finish. If we ever have another tile project, we'll be coming back. Stop searching elsewhere - this is the team to hire.

I purchased tile and contracted Julian as the general contractor for my master bathroom renovation. The total job plus my own materials was at 20k. I had him install high end fixtures and components. Julian provided the design and subcontractrrs. He was on top of it all. He did a great job of preparing and covering the traffic space through my house. I am really grateful for him and his wife (also provided design input). I look forward to working with him in the future and wish him all the success!

Julian and Stephanie have been awesome! First, Julian provided a phone consultation, then we consulted with Stephanie in the tile store. We had an idea of what we wanted, but she made it much easier to get us going in the best direction. Julian provided a very thorough estimate and was quite reasonable. He and his crew did a lovely job on our kitchen floor and backsplash!

His crew was there on time every day which is big for us. They were very safe and communicative. He has even taken the time to check in to see how we like it weeks later.so great! They're also all very nice people which makes everything better. We look forward to working with them again!

My wife and I contracted Castle Flooring to renovate the majority of the flooring in our just purchased home as the previous owner allowed her dogs to urinate on all the carpeting and flooring. As well having cleaned the engineered wood floors with Murphy's oil. Let's just say that they had a lot of work ahead of them. My wife & I couldn't be happier with the process or results. Julian & Stephanie was attentive to the entire process.

From selecting the flooring material, to the demolition, installation and dealing with my specific needs of converting the media room flooring to one that would serve me in my work as a mix engineer. The quotes provided were accurate and concise, letting me know all the attendant costs in advance. The installer he had handle our project was professional, and detail oriented.

What a fantastic selection of tile and flooring! Great personal, customer service, too! Stephanie and Julian are very knowledgeable and professional. This is a true design center. I was looking for a specific Coretec flooring and Castle was the only showroom that carried in-store samples of the entire line. Stephanie helped me coordinate my fireplace tile and kitchen backsplash tile (including grout color) with the flooring I chose.

She has such a keen, artistic eye for color and style, and provided me with great options for the look I wanted. I appreciate all the time she spent in answering my questions and emails. I never felt pressured or rushed. She made planning my project fun and stress-free. I love the result and would not hesitate to return for help on another project.

I can't say I am very impressed by their selection of tiles. It's a lot of the modern stuff that will look outdated in ten years. The lady working here said "That's just supply and demand." She also didn't see to know much about the history or traditions of tile. I guess if you are remodeling an Austin McMansion that looks like every other McMansion, this is your place. Otherwise, go to Clay Imports, Architerra, Cle Tiles, or Treehouse.

We hired CF to install tile flooring over a wood sub-floor and walls/pan for a large shower area. The areas were all new construction, so there was little/no demolition scope or structural prep. There are a few factors that make CF special, and worth hiring. 1. they take pride in the materials they sell/install.it is the opposite experience of Home Depot. 2. they have great design ideas and instincts that help quickly balance budget and feel.very collaborative in helping your project take shape. 3. they have a wonderful selection of materials in the showroom. it feels urban, contemporary and very suitable for nearby projects. other showrooms I looked at felt more tied to projects in Lakeway or Dripping Springs- very hill country mansion.not urban. 4. the cost of the materials and install seemed fair- I certainly could have scratched around and gotten some lower costs, but didn't have time to deal with that. the finished product feels like it was worth the cost. the reason they lose a star is that our good experience came after one clunky experience. we arrived at the showroom without an appointment (Julian requests an appointment so he can focus carefully on one person) and discussed some options.had to follow up on getting a bid and the whole thing sort of dropped off until we went back to the showroom to re-start. Julian is a little quirky, so you have to work with that, but I think these quirks are actually what make the place special in the end. It is a classic Austin story.enjoy it.

I went into Castle Flooring in search of kitchen backsplash tiles after having a bad experience with an online store. Although you cannot tell from the outside, they have a very large and well-organized showroom. I ended up finding the tiles that I had ordered from an online store who never shipped them to me. Stephanie first called the supplier to check availability, matched the price of the online store, and they arrived within 2 days!

I had to order more tiles the following week and they arrived in 2 days also. The showroom is great, much better than some of the disorganized showrooms I've been to in North Austin. There was no sales pressure, and the tiles came in quickly and as expected.

I want in with a client to look for new flooring today and I believe she was the owner of the shop who I was dealing with. First off I had to ask her to help me which I think she should be asking if I have any questions or need help. Which she did not. Second, I'm looking for new flooring for a rental property and wanted to find a rental grade flooring that being carpet or hardwood.

She showed me what was on the floor and I asked "do you have anything possibly a lower grade just for a rental or do I need to go somewhere else" Her response "well you don't need to be so abrasive" I told her that I was sorry I'm just direct and that I'm trying to figure this out today. She then proceeded to tell me that my personality is rude and abrasive Let me just say being a business owner that I would never tell any customer this. Ever!

You have a product to sell lady and you aren't good at it! I will never take a client into this store again! Thanks for your response. You should really work on that. All A type personalities are direct and decisive.

Julian has a small shop but it's full of all kinds of different product. I've bought both wood and tile from him and found his selection to be very good and prices competitive. I much prefer dealing with Castle than one of the bigger companies.

I'd give this no stars if I could, but then I wouldn't be able to leave my review. BEWARE: THE OWNER JULIAN DOESN'T HAVE A DAMN CLUE WHAT HE'S TALKING ABOUT! I was told over the phone by Julian that the thinset removal process they use was a dust free procedure and that's what they were going to use. 9:30am on Saturday rolls around and the one person who was going to remove the tile and thinset shows up with A TOOL RENTAL FROM HOME DEPOT! You'd thinking being a flooring company that they would have the proper materials to get the job done. NOPE!

I immediately stop the guy from removing any further tiles to ask him what the procedure was to remove the thinset, he said they he was just going to chip away at the thinset with a demo hammer attachment! Keep in mind, I was installing concrete floors, so I needed the floor to be pretty smooth. I tell the guy at my house that Julian told me that they were going to use a floor grinder with a vacuum attachment to remove the dust from the house and blow it outside.

None of this was true when his assistant showed up to do the work! Make sure you clarify with Julian before you sign anything what the procedure is before the job is even started!

Called Julian and explained that I needed tile removed and the mortar underneath for a smooth finish that could be resurfaced to a stained concrete finish in my kitchen. Julian was quick to respond with a reasonable quote. He walked me through the process and went over two people would be coming with a tile removal demolition hammer, a morter removal bit and a diamond tipped floor refinishing buffer with a vacuum attachment to keep dust down.

Imagine my surprise when the workman showed up with a tool rented from home depot and a mortar removal bit that didn't fit the tool. He apologized but said he would make it work by just using the demolition bit but that it may damage the slab. Really, not even willing to go get the right bit? Also, he said the diamond tip buffer with vacuum was not something their company had.

Why then was this the process explained to me? When calling Julian to explain that I would like to have what was originally communicated, he got very defensive and told me that no one in Austin could do what I was asking. A horrible experience.

When I read the other reviews for Castle Flooring, I realize that Yelp is "crazy town". Notice that Julian Sanchez either gets 5 stars or 1 star. Makes me wonder if those one star reviews are from nasty competitors! That said, I give this family business 5 stars for their professional, helpful assistance, their great product lines, and their honesty in all dealings.

We did a gut rehab on our entire first floor and ordered much hardwood, tile and backsplash tile. They were very helpful with storage of product until we were ready to install. The project is almost complete and it would never be this beautiful without the expert opinions/help from Stephanie and Julian. This is my 6th house renovation and I can say that Castle Flooring is a top notch outfit run by a very pleasant and accommodating couple. Most highly recommended!

Castle Flooring is a family-owned business, run by great people. We recently had them do two bathroom tile floors and a kitchen backsplash for us in an effort to spruce up our place prior to listing it for sale. Julian was exceptionally informative, had great ideas about how to lay the tile for the best visual impact, and the price charged was well under what we initially expected.

He even steered us to a less expensive flooring option than the one we picked initially because he thought it was a better fit for our needs. He was right - it's excellent. The installer he sent over took longer than we had initially expected, but that was because he took extra time to install everything properly and make sure it was perfect.

This was a point of consternation at the time, but turned out to be for the better. The job looks great, and the beautiful floors and backsplash helped us to sell our house in 4 days, well above asking price. We will absolutely use them for flooring work in our new home, and will recommend them to any friends who need work done.

People - look at the 'filtered' reviews. Basically 24 five star reviews. Many of them more 'qualified' than the 2 negative ones here that were allowed (hmmmm). Make sure you take those into consideration as well. Anyways, Julian is great. I completely remodeled my bathroom and got all the tile from Julian. He was very helpful, very nice, very timely, professional, and affordable. I've been in his store no less than 8 times now and will be going back for some wall tile.

Each time the same - great. I shopped around a lot to tons of tile places. His service is at the top. I admit, it helps that his location is so near my house, but that should apply to anyone looking for tile down south who doesn't want to travel to the tile corridor way up north. Thats an obvious bonus. However the fact that he was also as good as anyone up north just sealed the deal (if not better than all them).
